People are worried due to the increase in dengue cases during monsoon in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, has shared a video which has shocked people on social media. This video shows a machine that can detect mosquitoes in the house and destroy them. This machine has been made by a Chinese person and Mahindra has called it ‘Iron Dome of the house’.

Sharing the video on social media platform X, he wrote, “With the rising number of dengue cases in Mumbai, I am trying to get my hands on this tiny cannon designed by a Chinese guy to find and kill mosquitoes. An ‘Iron Dome’ for your home.”

Anand Mahindra shared the video without giving details of its source, which shows a small cannon effectively destroying mosquitoes in a house. The video also shows a notebook with dead mosquitoes pasted sequentially on the pages. However, Live Hindustan cannot confirm the video.

After the video went viral, many social media users praised Anand Mahindra’s idea to deal with the rising dengue cases in Mumbai. A social media user wrote, “Oh my God! China is way ahead in inventions.” Another user commented, “Even if I don’t get the cannon, I want to get this logbook that this guy has made.” Some other users also gave their reactions, like another user wrote, “You have given me a billionaire business idea.” A user wrote “This Chinese guy took Nana Patekar very seriously!”

According to the Indian Express report, nearly 40 per cent of the total dengue cases in Maharashtra this year during the current monsoon season were in Mumbai, Nashik and Kolhapur. As of August 7, a total of 6,751 cases of dengue and 8,730 cases of malaria were reported in Maharashtra. According to the report, nearly 80 per cent of malaria cases in the state are reported from Gadchiroli, Mumbai and Raigad.
