Indian tourist bus pulled out from Marsyangdi River – myRepublica

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The Indian tourist bus which plunged into the Marsyangdi River on August 23 has been pulled out from the river. An effort was made to pull out the bus using a crane by closing the Mugling-Anbu Khaireni road section since Monday morning for four hours.

Initially, a single crane was unable to pull the bus out and another crane was used later to pull out the bus. Passengers were stranded on the road after the road section was blocked

Police said that the closed road has now opened after pulling out the bus from the River.

At least 27 people lost their lives when the Indian-bus (UP 53 FT 7623) plunged into the river on Friday.

Following the postmortem, the dead bodies were sent to Mumbai by an Indian Air Force aircraft. One person is still missing in the Marsyangdi River and search operation to locate him is underway.
