The Perth County Federation of Agriculture is holding a regional meeting on Thursday at Trinity Evangelical Luthern Church in Tavistock.
“The purpose of the meeting is to gather delegates from the Perth County area that are Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) members to represent at the OFA Convention that is held each year,” said Loni Elliott, member service representative for Huron Perth.
This year the OFA Convention will be held on November 26-27 in Toronto.
“Our Guest Speaker is Kevin Thomason who is a part of the Fight for Farmland committee,” said Elliott.
Also a part of the event is an update from the Ontario Soil and Crop, as well as updates on OFA.
“An event like this is important because it gives the members a chance to come together and receive up to date information, a chance to ask questions on any issues or concerns surrounding agriculture they may have,” said Elliott.
The night also provides a chance to be nominated as a delegate to attend the 2024 OFA Annual General Meeting.
