Sadyr Japarov opens plant for processing agricultural products in Chui region
AKIPRESS.COM – President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov took part in the opening of a plant for processing agricultural products of the Bai Elim company in Moskovsky district of Chui region on September 30, the presidential press service reported.
The head of state noted that agriculture is one of the key sectors in Kyrgyzstan. Processing of agricultural products occupies an important place in the economy of the country.
The President noted that agricultural processing enterprises produced food products worth 45.1 billion soms in January-August 2024, which is an increase of 120%. Currently, there are 415 large and medium-sized enterprises engaged in the production of food products in the republic. Among them is the Bai Elim company, which is opening a processing plant. This is an enterprise that exports canned vegetables and fruits.
The head of state spoke about the plant project, the cost of which amounted to 410 million soms. Of these, 220 million soms were spent on the purchase of modern production equipment, and 160 million soms on the construction of production and warehouse facilities. In addition, 30 million soms were spent on agricultural machinery and drip irrigation equipment. This multifunctional canning plant has a processing capacity of 500-700 tons of agricultural products per day.
Sadyr Japarov added that the plant employs 70 people, and more than 1,000 jobs are planned to be created during the season. In addition, a drip irrigation system for growing crops was introduced for the plant, and an irrigation pool with a capacity of 9,000 cubic meters was built.
President Sadyr Japarov stated that the company intends to export 70% of the new plant’s products to the international market. He expressed confidence that this plant will become an important contribution to the advancement of Kyrgyzstan on the world stage.
