The customs report revealed that Iran’s agricultural exports weighed in at 3.8 million tons, marking a 16% uptick from the previous year. Leading the export chart, pistachios generated $614 million, with tomatoes, watermelons, apples, and dates following at $226 million, $139 million, $124 million, and $123 million respectively.
Noteworthy shifts included a 192% increase in pistachio exports, 18% for tomatoes, 46% for apples, and 19% for dates. However, watermelon exports saw a 6% decrease. Among the top 20 agricultural products, peppers experienced the most pronounced growth at 490%.
