Ministry of Agriculture to select 10 most profitable varieties for crop production
AKIPRESS.COM – Provision of agricultural producers with high quality sees is one of task areas, Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev said.
Low quality seed materials will result in plunge of productivity of the sector, he said.
The Ministry of Agriculture aims to supply the highest quality seeds at 30% until 2028. Supply of seedlings for 20 million soms is planned also.
“There are about 10 nurseries operating in the country. In order to fully provide ourselves with seedlings, we need to build another 5 nurseries,” Minister Torobaev said.
“Today, the country produces diverse crop varieties. Therefore, we will select 10 most profitable varieties for crop production,” he added.
