Delhi Police released a traffic advisory ahead of the India International Trade Fair (IITF), which is set to take place from November 14 to 27 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event, expected to draw around 60,000 visitors each day—rising to 1.5 lakh on weekends and holidays—will result in significant traffic in surrounding areas.

Traffic congestion is anticipated on Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, Shershah Road, and Purana Quila Road. Non-attendees are advised to avoid these routes for a smoother journey.

The first five days (November 14–18) will be reserved for business visitors, while the general public can visit from November 19 between 9:30 am and 7:30 pm. Access will be restricted at Gate numbers 5-A, 5-B, 7, 8, and 9. Visitors should use Gate numbers 1, 4, 6, and 10, while exhibitors have entry access through Gates 1, 4, 5-B, and 10. Media can enter through Gate 5-B, and ITPO officials through Gates 1 and 9. Entry will be closed after 5:30 pm daily.

India International Trade Fair tickets

Tickets for the fair will only be available online and at select metro stations, excluding the Supreme Court Metro Station.

For drop-offs, chauffeur-driven vehicles, taxis, and autos should use the service lanes in front of Gate 3 and Gate 7, as well as the entry points for basement parking. Early entry closures may be implemented for public safety.

To ease traffic flow, parking on Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Shershah Road, Purana Quila Road, Bhagwan Dass Road, and Tilak Marg is strictly prohibited. Vehicles parked in these areas will be towed to the National Stadium parking lot at Gate 5 and will incur fines.

Delhi Police encourages the use of public transport for travel to Pragati Maidan. Delhi Metro passengers can alight at Supreme Court Metro Station for Gate 10 or use a shuttle service to enter via Gates 4 and 6. Visitors arriving by DTC bus from Delhi or NCR can use designated bus stops on Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg.

India International Trade Fair parking facility

Parking facilities are available at multiple locations, including Basement Parking No. 1 (accessible from Bhairon Marg and the Ring Road-side Pragati Tunnel), Bhairon Mandir Parking, and the Delhi Zoo parking area. Exhibitors and visitors may also use Basement Parking No. 2 under Bharat Mandapam, with entry points via the Pragati Tunnel (from Purana Quila to Ring Road) and Mathura Road.

Due to heavy pedestrian traffic on Mathura Road, visitors are advised to use the foot-over bridge for safety.
