Agriculture Minister plans construction of 106 water reservoirs until 2028
AKIPRESS.COM – The Ministry of Agriculture developed the action plan of introduction of water saving and water accumulation technologies in production process, Ministry’s representative Emilbek Kydykmanov said.
The given action plan envisions construction of water accumulation bodies, such as water reservoirs and pools. Construction of 106 water reservoirs is planned by 2028.
“The government allocates funds for water resources management. Around 4 billion soms were allocated for irrigation systems in 2023. Allocation of another 2.9 billion soms is planned this year. They will be spent for construction of water facilities and reservoirs in different parts of the country,” the official said.
