Flash strike by employees at 35 bus depots of MSRTC in Maharashtra

MUMBAI: Due to the agitation called by 11 unions, as many as 35 out of 251 bus depots of MSRTC are completely closed this morning. The remaining depots are partially or fully operational.
Traffic is running smoothly in all the depots in Mumbai division, a senior official said. However, Kalyan, Vitthalwadi depots in Thane Division are completely closed.
Bus services at all depots in Vidarbha are operational, the official said.“There is not much effect of bandh. However, most of the depots in Latur and Nanded divisions of Marathwada are closed,” he added.
In western Maharashtra, the bus services in Kolhapur and Solapur division are running smoothly.
The MSRTC bus depots in Pune district — Shivajinagar, Vallabhnagar, Bhor, Saswad, Baramati, Talegaon — are completely closed. The depots are completely shut and services majorly hit in Sangli and Satara districts, the official informed TOI.
Bus depots in Nashik and Jalgaon districts completely shut.
