“The confectionery category is ripe with potential” – Ghirardelli Chocolate Company Senior Sales Manager Global Travel Retail Mohammed Aldahabi

American chocolate company Ghirardelli has appointed Mohammed Aldahabi as Senior Sales Manager Global Travel Retail to oversee the company’s expansion in the channel exclusively outside the US. 

This move supports Ghirardelli’s strategy to focus on high-growth channels and premium visibility within travel retail as the company works toward a revenue goal of US$1 billion by 2027.

Aldahabi brings 17 years of travel retail experience with expertise in building strategic partnerships and developing new business opportunities.  

Prior to joining Ghirardelli, he held sales roles at Lindt & Sprüngli Global Travel Retail, where he was responsible for repositioning the brand in North American travel retail and leading travel retail sales growth in the Middle East, India and Africa region.

The 175-year-old company is planning to introduce seven SKUs in two formats, featuring bestsellers from its home travel retail market, now set to make an international debut in the channel.  

The brand will also invest in a range of activation concepts and channel-specific point of sales materials to create an impactful brand experience at key airports.
