Heavy rain warning in more than 10 states including Maharashtra-Bihar

New Delhi: Heavy rain is expected in many states of the country including Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan today. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in both the states as well as some parts of Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra in the next two-three days. According to the IMD, a low pressure area is also formed over Bangladesh and the Gangetic plains of adjoining West Bengal. It is likely to intensify further in the next two days and move towards the Gangetic coastal area of ​​West Bengal, northern Odisha and Jharkhand.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also forecast in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand in the next two days. A warning has been issued for strong winds with a speed of 60 kmph in South Rajasthan on August 27. Sea conditions are likely to remain very rough in the coastal areas of Gujarat, Pakistan and North Maharashtra till August 30. The water level in Gangapur Dam has increased after heavy rains in Nashik.

Heavy rains are likely over Gujarat today and tomorrow. Extremely heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Saurashtra and Kutch. Light to moderate rainfall and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall warnings have been issued over most parts of Konkan and Goa. Light to moderate and heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over most parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Madhya Maharashtra.

How will the weather be in UP-Bihar-Jharkhand

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Bihar and Jharkhand on August 27. Rainfall may continue here on Wednesday as well. At the same time, light to moderate rain may occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh.

Light rain likely in Delhi

Delhi-NCR may receive light to moderate rainfall today. The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘yellow alert’ for Tuesday and has predicted light to moderate rainfall. According to this, there is a possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour and thundershowers tomorrow.
