Indian air company ready to start Delhi-Bishkek flights

AKIPRESS.COM – The Indian company IndiGo is ready to start Delhi-Bishkek-Delhi flights, the Indian Embassy in Bishkek said.

This issue was discussed between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Askar Beshimov and IndiGo Vice President for Airline Partnerships & Aeropolitical Affairs Rajan Malhotra.

The company was designated by the Indian government as an official carrier and obtained permission for making flights on this route 7 days a week.

Ambassador Beshimov said Indian nationals having U.S., UK and Schengen zone multiple entry visas may stay in Kyrgyzstan without a visa for 7 days with the right of repeated entry in 21 days.

Rajan Malhotra asked to consider easing visa requirements for nationals of India, who have 6-month or one-year UK visas or one-month Schengen visas.

The sides discussed possibilities of development of tourism sector via sending groups of tourists from India to Kyrgyzstan, preparation and conduct of respective promotional campaigns, strengthening of ties between travel companies.
