With today’s fast-paced corporate environment, employee well-being is more critical than ever, which has prompted Indian-based Kocoatrait Sustainable Chocolates to devise a new employee wellbeing product tasting course.

As the business noted, it has set out a fresh holistic wellness programme that not only nurtures the body and mind but also respects and preserves the environment, as part of its wider activities that has seen a number of new product launches in recent years.

Its latest initiative has seen it introduce an enriching chocolate tasting session for corporates, led by India’s first certified chocolate taster, L Nitin Chordia.

According to the company, the 60-minute session is designed to be an immersive and meditative experience that combines the joy of tasting our sustainable and heart-healthy dark chocolates with the ancient wisdom of cacao ceremonies. Nitin will guide participants through the art of tasting chocolate the right way, encouraging mindfulness and a deeper appreciation of the flavours of chocolate.

This unique session will also address the pressing issue of climate change. We will discuss how conventional chocolate production often contributes to landfills and harms ocean health, contrasting this with sustainable practices followed by Kocoatrait Sustainable Chocolates. By choosing our chocolates, your company can actively support environmentally friendly and socially responsible practices.

The session will include:

1. Guided Chocolate Tasting: Nitin will lead employees through a step-by-step audio/visual introduction to cacao and chocolate, introduce various types of chocolates and point out to their composition and benefits/issues, identifying the right chocolate and the process of tasting chocolates, enhancing their sensory experience and promoting mindfulness.
2. Cacao Ceremony Introduction: Drawing from the traditions of the Mayans, Nitin will explain how cacao ceremonies open the heart and facilitate deeper connections with the divine. The session will culminate in a ceremonial dosage of cacao paired with specially produced music by Kocoatrait.

3. Interactive and Fun Activities: To foster engagement and camaraderie, we will include activities such as employee introductions, chocolate memories and a playful chocolate flavor guessing game.

4. DIY Activity: Chocolates are handed over in a DIY box to promote the concept of reduce, reuse, recycle and help the participants later engage with their families to convert this reusable box into a desk organiser, mobile phone holder, bird house, gift etc.

Takeaway for employees/associates: This fun and informal but education lead session aims to holistically show how mindful consumption of the right chocolates can significantly enhance mental and physical well-being. By participating, your employees will not only gain valuable knowledge and experience but also contribute to a sustainable future.

The company is guided by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. Kocoatrait addresses 12 out of the 17 SDG’s. Further, every organisation is concerned about their ESG impact and from an ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) perspective, we have invested our efforts specifically in this area.

As the business noted, it is entirely deforestation free, and its packaging is paper and plastic free. It is also an inclusive organisation and our first choice printers Vexcel Educational trust which employs differently abled staff. For more details on its products and latest course, visit  Further efforts are available at: cocoatrait.com/about-us/
