Indian Air Force crash history

On June 4, a Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet from the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near Shirasgaon village in the Niphad tehsil of Nashik around 1:20 p.m. Both the pilot and co-pilot ejected safely before the crash. After impact, the aircraft caught fire, which was subsequently extinguished, and debris was scattered over a 500-meter radius. IAF and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) security and technical teams have since visited the site.

Earlier this year, in March, a Tejas aircraft crashed near Jaisalmer during an operational training sortie. The pilot successfully ejected before the crash. The IAF has informed that one Tejas aircraft of the Indian Air Force had met with an accident at Jaisalmer today during an operational training sortie. The pilot had ejected safely.
