Myanmar to join Tent Pegging training in New Delhi

The Tent Pegging qualifiers held in Nay Pyi Taw in 2023, preparing athletes for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.

In a move to bolster the growth of Tent Pegging, the Indian Equestrian Federation has announced a training session in New Delhi. Myanmar is set to send its athletes to participate in this prestigious event aimed at enhancing the skills and development of the sport.
The Tent Pegging qualifiers will be held at the Nay Pyi Taw equestrian grounds on 7 and 8 September this year. There is no age restriction for the competition, and interested athletes are encouraged to register by 31 August.
All participating horses must arrive at the Nay Pyi Taw equestrian grounds by 3 September. For those requiring expedited transport, a request for the use of expressway must be submitted to the federation five days in advance.
Qualified participants from this competition will be eligible to attend an introductory Tent Pegging training session in New Delhi, India, in October 2024. Preference will be given to those holding an international passport. — TWA/KZL
