Introduction to Controlled Environment Agriculture
Gain an understanding of the history of controlled environment agriculture (CEA), the range of employment opportunities, common business models, major processes of indoor farming, current technologies and the challenges and drivers of success in CEA businesses.
As a part of this course, students will develop a business plan that optimizes environmental conditions to maximize yield and profitability.
Plant Production and Indoor Farming Operations
Acquire the foundational knowledge and skills for planning and implementing indoor farming operations. Topics include plant physiology, plant nutrition, pest and disease management, nutrient management and environmental control systems.
