Preparation phase, introducing agricultural extension program in Jawf discussed

JAWF July 27. 2024 (Saba) – A meeting at the Office of Agriculture and Irrigation in Al-Jawf Governorate discussed on Saturday the preparation phase and definition of the agricultural extension program “Farmers’ Field Schools” for 20 field schools in the governorate’s directorates for the year 1446 AH.

The extension program, implemented by the Agricultural Services Sector at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in partnership with the Agriculture and Irrigation Office in the governorate, with the support of the Agricultural and Fisheries Production Promotion Fund, comes within the framework of efforts to enhance agricultural awareness, within the general plan of the national vision for building the state.

The importance of the meeting lies in improving the mechanism for developing awareness and skills using available capabilities, and contributing to the implementation of best agricultural practices in the agricultural production sector.

The meeting, which was attended by the Director of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office in Al-Jawf, Mahdi Al-Dhameen, the Director of the Agricultural Information Department, Fahd Al-Junaid, and the representative of the Agricultural and Fisheries Promotion Fund, Eng. Abdul Wadood Al-Absi, pointed to steps to support the productivity of the agricultural sector, and enhance the agricultural skills of field school facilitators and farmers, by providing the necessary guidance and practical training in various agricultural fields within the 20 field schools.
